Feng Shui is a practice that encourages flexibility. A client of mine in Brooklyn New York showed me a room within her apartment that was not being fully utilized. Her intention was to transform that room into a "minimalist meditation space."

At first glance a you may say this room didn't change. But, before you jump to judgment, let me point out the subtle feng shui suggestions. 

1. The pillows and seating were purposely brought together as to acknowledge the life section of partnership (addressing items int pairs). 

2. The accent color of pink though the use of two candles was also utilized to honor partnership and invite warm activating energy into the room.

3. The left wall in both photos connects to the life section of "fame." Based on her layout, the structure of the wall's placement created a separation of energy. To help reconnect this split, by adding two candles (fire energy for fame) and lite during meditation holds the intention of unity (partnership) and illumination (fame/reputation).  

4. The artwork along the left wall also changed. The original artwork displayed a metal fence that created a feeling of separation. Currently, the artwork has been changed to dandelions flowers.

5. The element of wood (represented by the bamboo plant) and water (glass vase with water in it) encourages spiritual growth and movement within the room. Even when it's not in physical use.

6. Two rose quartz crystals were added to honor earth element and partnership.

7. Finally, she placed inside the room an image of a spiritual master that inspires her.

Hopefully, this helps to also illustrate in Feng Shu that changes you implement do not need to be "in your face" or complex. 

"I implemented your suggestions, and the place looks/feels great."
