Feng Shui and Spirituality - What Do You Value?

The spiritual teachings of Feng Shui can help remind us to live in the present moment vs making assumptions of what might unfold next. At a glance, it seems as if the entire world has taken a pause, a breath, a moment to embrace stillness and literally reset itself. I think it’s safe to say, at first this was and for some, may still be extremely jolting. However, as time passes, for those who are accepting to this new reality of living, it could also be freeing.

One of the biggest stressors in life, prior to COVID-19, was the feeling of not having enough time. Well, that has all changed. We have more than enough time. Time to do what, you may ask? That all depends on what you wish to prioritize. For this particular post, I’m bringing special attention to the suggestion of setting aside time to reflect. Reflecting could be extremely vast, reaching personal, professional and global levels. You may be thinking, that is way too much to reflect upon! It’s too overwhelming! Where would I even begin?!

To help refine your point of reflection, I invite you to begin with yourself. I began doing this as well and the first word that came to mind during my point of reflection was the word, “value.”

“VALUE”

What comes to your mind, when you see or hear the word ‘value’ ? What did value mean prior to COVID-19? What does that word mean to you right now?

Below are current examples with my point of reflection on the word, value:

Value to me, is building quality relationships with others. Value to me is, freedom of time - living a balanced lifestyle. Value to me is, being connected with family and true friends. Value to me is, being a better stewertest to mother earth. Value to me is drinking clean water, eating clean food and breathing clean air. Value to me is being healthy. Value to me is being creative with drawing, painting and music and having the courageousness to express myself. Value to me is claiming a day of rest when I need it. Value to me is having a home that provides me with the essentials of shelter and safety.

Or maybe, the word value, moves into a point of reflection of, how do you value yourself?

The new lifestyle that we are all stepping into is requiring us to shift into higher levels of consciousness. A way in how you can begin adjusting is by taking the time to reflect on where you came from (prior to covid-19), to where you are now (current moment in time), which prompts the potential for new growth and evolution of self in the near future (post covid-19).
