Rebuilding Your Spiritual Structure From The Inside Out

Laura Cerrano

How many of us look to the outside world for happiness?

PEACE COMES FROM WITHIN, NOT WITHOUT
— Buddha

This past weekend, I attended my Kabbalah class which initiates and fosters a deeper connection to your higher self or SOUL self. At this level of self awareness, your intuition and consciousness of life expands greatly. So much so, that sometimes what is revealed to you could be shocking and disturbing. Truths about yourself, truths about others, and then comes that significant moment of making a CHOICE. Do I choose to hold onto the old paradigm or will I be courageous enough to merge with the new paradigm you have asked for.

Two intentions I held within my heart during class was to truly learn how to forgive and let go of the past.

A word to the wise, choosing to hold onto emotions of grief, anger, and resentment WILL stunt anyone's personal and professional growth. Even more importantly,  those negative emotions emit low-frequencies and reduces the intimate connection to your SOUL self. Your SOUL self is mindful, conscious, responsible, compassionate, loving, balanced, and clear with his or her daily intentions.  Where attention goes, energy flows.

After class, around 6pm, I returned home and was greeted with a swarm of termites inside my living room. They congregated in one corner of the room, essentially looking for a place to nest. Did this unnerve me a bit?? Yes!  But, I kept my cool and took care of the problem immediately and efficiently.

Once I had that situation under control, I researched the metaphysical meaning of termites. These little guys are so powerful collectively, they have the ability to dismantle and even destroy the entire structure of a home. Now take that understanding and translate it to; because I’ve subconsciously chosen to hold onto old paradigms that no longer serve me, my inner harmony and happiness have slowly been eaten away. Fears and False beliefs about myself, others, and certain aspects of my personality need to be dismantled and rebuilt. Because I have subconsciously chosen not to accept change, I have become my own worst enemy. The universe is now forcing me to pay attention to my blind spots and actively participate in making healthy changes, or choose to continue to suffer emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually.

By sharing my story with you, it's helping me to release certain stuck emotions. I’m being honest with you and with myself, and that is not easy.

Remember, we are all on a journey of learning. And this journey requires choices. So what will you choose to do to help enhance your life?

How to Position the Crib for Good Feng Shui in Your Baby's Room

Laura Cerrano

A client from Northport, New York hired me to Feng Shui their home and in particular, asked me to assess the energy of their baby's bedroom. They observed, since she’s been sleeping inside her crib, each night she crys.

After reviewing the baby's furniture arrangement from a Feng Shui perspective, it became very obvious why their daughter was reacting negatively to the layout of the room.

Two main problems to be aware of

1. Avoid placing the baby's crib along a bathroom wall. In Western Feng Shui this is called, “sha” energy, or “drain” energy. Bathroom pipes act like geopathic stress points inside the home. Symptoms felt, could be a person feeling tired, sick, or emotionally unstable. In my client's case, their baby cries all the time when sleeping in her crib at night.

2. Arrange the crib in a "commanding position." This allows the baby to feel protected and supported energetically and psychologically. The ideal set up is to position the crib between two corners within the bedroom. The corners become the metaphor of parents cradling their baby at night when sleeping. When choosing a corner, be sure to select one that is NOT IN ALIGNMENT with the bedroom doorway.

My clients moved the crib away from the bathroom wall and repositioned it to be in a commanding position so their daughter could feel more supported at night when sleeping.

The results?!?
