Calling all Music lovers. Music teachers. Performers. Arts therapists. Wellness practitioners!
Whether you are a professional, a student, or an amateur, “Improvisation for All” will expand your musical vocabulary. This workshop, running May 6th and 7th, 2023 at Molloy University in Rockville Centre, Long Island, NY, is sponsored by Music for People (MfP), a leader in inclusive, community music-making.
People of all ages and abilities are invited to attend and register for one or both days:
Saturday’s workshop on Day 1 will examine bold, new approaches to singing, drumming, dancing and instrumental playing.
Sunday’s workshop on Day 2 will focus on leading social music improvisation and explore tools and techniques for educators, performers and therapists. There will be a Facilitation Fest on Sunday afternoon where you can invite friends and family members to come and participate
Mary Knysh will lead you in a weekend of creative exploration, musical mindfulness, personal renewal, and community building that encompasses a range of traditions and styles—from folk, blues, and jazz to classical and world music.
