Feng Shui Home Staging Tips - Office Bedrooms

Bedrooms are one of the top rooms to showcase when staging your home to sell. It indicates the potential for how many family members or guests you could accommodate comfortably within that space. Lately, I have been receiving requests to transform bedrooms into office bedrooms. This is not ideal in Feng Shui, yet the beautify of this practice is flexibility and adaptation to the world as it changes. Below are some key Feng Shui principles to keep in mind so space is still energetically supportive to your well-being when resting.

  • Do not locate bedrooms below or over the garage, fuel tanks, or steel girders. They all give off large artificial magnetic fields which have been proven scientifically to disrupt sleep and health over long periods of time. This is referred to as a DC current.

  • Use wooden bed and headboard. If you plan to have electronics in you bedroom, the element of wood will deflect that electromagnetic energy.

  • Ideally, no wiring is suggested to cross underneath the bed. Keep them on the opposite side of the bedroom room, as far away from your bed as possible.

  • Do your best in removing as many electoral devices as possible, but if you plan on making this a mini office bedroom, offer the option to conceal the computer, printer/fax machine in an armoire as one possible method.
